Diet The word diet simply defines the food we ingest each day. But now it has become a four-letter word or a badge of honor, sometimes even a badge of martyrdom. Dieting has become a national pastime, with everyone waiting in line for the next diet of the month, guaranteed to make us all fit and trim. Many people do different diets all the time. At Body Change we do not use the word ‘diet’ – we prefer ‘Eating Program’ and believe that our Eating Program is the key to your success.

What we found with the trendy diet, is that you can and probably will loose weight, but not necessarily fat. Let’s take for a moment a women who is 140 lbs. Her goal weight is 125 lbs. and her LBM (Lean Body Mass) is 90. She eats less by dieting and looses 5 lbs. but she looses 5 lbs of LBM instead of Body Fat (BF). When she stops dieting, she goes back to weighing 140 lbs. but her LBM is still at 85. She now has added 5lbs. more fat.

Joe Wieter, The Master Blaster, teaches us that Muscle Tissue is the key to weight loss. Body Change lives this philosophy. Let’s take this same woman:
We want to see her LBM over 100. That means that she needs to eat more, not less. It means that she needs the right combination of foods to speed up her metabolism, decrease her Body Fat Percentage, and increase her Lean Body Mass. She will need protein to increase her LBM, Carbohydrates for energy and fats (healthy fats) for good overall body function. She will need to circulate these combinations every 3 to 4 hours. She will need to feed her muscle at night, muscle tissue grows while you sleep.

At Body Change, you will be given an Eating Program according to your LBM, BF and weight. This will determine the amount of protein, carbs and fats that you will need to take in.

*If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

• You will have two weeks with a fitness trainer to teach you the use of kettlebells. (M-F)
